I encountered this with xpadder while using it for LMB&RMB solely since that was the only problem I had left until now but I assumed it had to do with switching from gamepad to mouse and back. Strafing right while ADS and shoot? you stop strafing even if still holding the stick to continue strafing, it causes a really bad disconnect and makes it feel like the controller just stopped responding. ![]() I mapped everything and went in game to give it a try and was greeted by an old problem I forgot about.Īll controls worked correctly, and triggers worked simultaneously, but shooting would cause you to lose axis input until you pushed something else. So I set up a profile, have it install it's hook (necessary for override features) and set Ltrigger to DInput button 11 and Rtrigger to DInput button 12, set everything else to override as what they should be in DInput anyway, launched the game and to my amazement the triggers could now be mapped in the options normally and showed up as Joy 11 and Joy 12. I had thought it was simply a fancy xpadder but to my surprise it has support for DirectX overrides with both xinput and directinput. Now before I gave up here but recently I got pinnacle game profiler. If you edit the user.ini (I think thats what it's called, I did it a while ago) you can move the look command off slider 1 and onto the correct axis fixing the strange camera drift and gaining control of the camera, and it's horribly slow at default but can be changed by with the speedbase. If you've made it this far you've made it farther than most, cause most google results are "use xpadder/joy2key and turn off in game joystick support" but I wasn't satisfied with that. Also, the camera drifts and is in controllable with default set up because the right stick axis is mapped incorrectly. ![]() Killing floor only operates in DirectInput mode (I believe) making me unable to map the triggers to anything because they show as an axis, and they share an axis so even if I could map them I wouldn't be able to use them simultaneously. So killing floor offers "joystick" support, and I have a wireless receiver and a 360 controller. Okay, so first off please leave gamepad vs kb/m out of this as its irrelevant.
